Dubai: An Indian expat who returned to the UAE after a vacation received a pleasant surprise when he won Dh100,000 in the UAE Lottery’s Lucky Chance draw.
Muktar Sek, a UAE resident from Odisha, got lucky after purchasing digital entries soon after coming back from his trip.
“I bought three tickets. I won the Lucky Chance with one of those tickets,” he said.

Plans to clear debts, launch a small business
Sek, who has been working in the UAE for the past 11 years, is jubilant about the unexpected windfall.
“I have won Dh100,000. I am very happy about it,” he said.
Sek has already made plans for how to use the winnings.
“I can now pay off my loans, and later, I plan to start my own small business.”

While he is grateful for the surprise win, Sek said he’s not done yet.
“I will continue playing for a chance to win Dh100 million in the future,” he said, referring to the jackpot amount, which hasn’t been claimed since the inception of the draw.
